Alito & white privilege

by

I have to admit, I have it pretty damn good as a 35-year-old white male in this country.  Yeah, I have problems, but I’m not being pulled over by the cops for being white or told what to do with my body by some ancient stranger in a different state.

And it would never occur to me to assume I could dictate to a woman — whether she was married to me or not — that she obtain my permission before pursuing her Constitionally-guaranteed rights.  I’m not sure I even know anyone who lives under that assumption.

More than I’m worried about someone like Alito making it onto the Supreme Court, I’m fascinated to see these whacked-out conservatives squinting and shielding their eyes when the media turns over the rocks people like Alito have been living under.
